Description
The workshop begins with an introduction to the world of illustration, led by an illustrator trained in Fine Arts and published in Belgium and France. She will present her own work, that of other authors, as well as examples of accordion books.
Then, participants will create their own leporello (postcard format). Over six pages, they will create a story, mixing text and image or composed solely of illustrations or text.
Chinese ink, pen, and brush will be favored, but other techniques (pastels, markers, etc.) can be used or combined for a more colorful result.
Throughout the workshop, the illustrator will provide advice and suggestions to guide each participant towards creating a personal book. A reflection will also be conducted on the relationship between text and image: do they reinforce each other or create a contrast?
If time permits, a cover and title will complete the work. The workshop will end with a convivial moment of exchange, and each participant will leave with their original creation.
