Description
The workshop will begin with a short introduction and a round of introductions to get to know each other. Then, I will present examples of illustrations and books created using the ink technique and answer any questions about my profession and the workshop.
Each participant will receive a base to create a leporello book (postcard-sized). The goal is to create a story on a free theme, developing it across six pages.
Text and illustrations will intertwine to give life to a unique object. Those who prefer can choose to create a book made up entirely of images or entirely of text.
Chinese ink, quill, and brush will be the preferred tools.
Before starting, there will be a moment of reflection to explore the relationship between text and image: should the meaning be reinforced, or should a contrast be created instead?
Once the book is finished, each participant can design a cover for their leporello by illustrating the first and last pages.
The workshop will conclude with a moment of sharing and discussion about the creations, and each participant will leave with their own original work.
